Managed Health Care Trying to make a Rotten Idea Work - Editorial. The ADF recently put a strongly worded submission before the Senate Inquiry into the Lawrence Private Health Insurance Legislation (The blueprint for US style Managed Health Care in Australia).
I heard a good deal of the Public Hearings into the Legislation in Sydney and read much of the rest. It was clearly evident from the submission of the Australian Private Hospitals Association (A.P.H.A.) especially, that this legislation cannot work, and will not work.
