The AHWMC is obviously keen to improve certain deficiencies in the scheme urgently including improving complaints handling and investigation, reducing some duplication and overlap, improving IMG accreditation, appointing community members to be chairman of professional boards and training investigators. In deferring the consolidation of allied health professional boards into one national board, the Council have left it on the agenda.
